ACTA Southern Alamance Route
Starting August 14 we will have public transportation in our community!
Great news! For many months, SAFE (Southern Alamance Family Empowerment, https://www.safealamance.org/) has been planning and working with ACTA (the Alamance County Transportation Authority) and consulting people in our local community, to plan a bus route for Southern Alamance. And on Wednesday, August 14, the route will begin!
Please direct any questions to Peter Murphy, Executive Director at ACTA exec@acta-nc.com or (336) 222-0565.
Below is ACTA’s Southern Alamance Route Schedule for distribution with a start date of Wednesday, August 14, 2024. We will be placing portable signs at the stop locations early next week. The route is currently fare-free and operates Monday through Friday. Passengers can also connect with other agency routes (PART, Link Transit, GoTriangle) at the ACC bus stop for additional travel needs – check web sites, schedules and fares.
I think this is a great idea. i’m glad the fare is free and that the bus can go off route to pick up passengers. Good thinking to meet the needs of people in the community.
