Call for DOT Questions

Our DOT Team has set up a meeting with Chuck Edwards, District DOT Engineer. As this team prepares for the meeting they are asking for questions from the community. Questions can be posted in the comments section, below. The team will use these questions, and others that have already been posed, to establish priorities for this meeting. While this DOT meeting is not an open meeting, the responses will be shared.
The turnaround time on asking these questions is very short. Please post your questions below no later than Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
It would be helpful to have an all way stop like the new one on Mebane Oaks Rd and Thom Rd.
It is very hard to see and safely exit from Rivermill Apartments as bridge and bushes block view from one direction and it is difficult to see vehicles come around corner from the other direction.
While we are waiting for a roundabout, can we have a 4 way stop by paperhand puppet. Folks coming from Swepsonville already have to stop.
I'd like to see a crosswalk at that intersection too. Going across the Sax Swepsonville side. It's hard to walk safely to the post office.
I'd like a crosswalk across Church road where Moore's Chapel cemetery road comes into church road. People walking are in danger at that point as they cross Church road.
I'd like a large sign on both sides of church road by the park entrance on the bridge saying slow down park entrance or something like that. I've seen near collisions there many times.
I also think the speed between schools should drop to 25 mph, we have BEJ, SVK and Hawbridge within 1 mile of each other.
A turning lane to Hawbridge school is also necessary.
