As we prepare for our meeting on Tuesday, June 13th at 6:00 pm, we pause to look back briefly at the work we have already done.
If you missed the Traffic Safety Meeting on May 18th or you just want a refresher on what happened, you can watch the video put together by Brandon White who also facilitated the meeting:
There are three other details worth noting:
We reviewed a possible grant opportunity, the SS4A grant. It does not appear to be something we can do at this time. A big thank you to Deborah Perotti and James Long for your work on reviewing this!
Ginny Boyer has connected with Chuck Edwards, the District Engineer for the DOT, to begin discussing crosswalks and speed humps.
Jennifer Shelton, the Upper School Director at the Hawbridge School, has set up a meeting with the DOT to discuss both vehicular and foot traffic for the Upper School.
And then, just to help us reflect on the number of visitors who use our trails, here are the totals for both the Saxapahaw Island Park and the Saxapahaw Mill Trail from Steve Shaw, the Parks Superintendent:
We look forward to seeing you Tuesday evening as we dig in to the ongoing work of making Saxapahaw a safer and friendlier place for all!
